GRAY, Dr. John Hayes, a Representative from Crawford County; born, April 24, 1824 in Concord, Erie County, Pa.; M.D., Berkshire Medical College, 1848; physician; appointed, United States Marshal, Wisconsin; elected, school director, Cambridgeboro; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1870 and 1871; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1872); prospector; proprietor, Gray Mineral Springs; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1885); died, July 13, 1891 in Cambridgeboro, Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Cambridge Upper Cemetery, Cambridge Township, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
