MORFORD, Nathan, a Representative from Mercer County; born, May 14, 1817 in West Salem Township, Mercer County, Pa.; farmer; co-founder, Pymatuning Mutual Fire Insurance Company; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1871 and 1872; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1873); died, February 8, 1881 in West Salem Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania; interred, Shenango Valley Cemetery; Greenville, Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
