SCHMINKY, Dr. Isaiah S., a Representative from Dauphin and Perry Counties; born in Hinkletown, Lancaster County, Pa., January 7, 1832; attended, Bloomfield Academy; M.D., Pennsylvania Medical College, 1854; lieutenant, surgeon, Pennsylvania Militia (1854-1857); physician; surgeon; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1871 and 1872; elected, burgess, Gratz; school director, Gratz; died, February 19, 1900 in Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania; interred, Simeon United Lutheran Church Cemetery, Gratz, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
