DARRAH, Samuel, a Representative from Bucks County; born, February of 1812 in Bucks County, Pa.; elected, clerk of orphans’ court, Bucks County (1839); appointed, sheriff, Bucks County (1844); elected, auditor, Bucks County (1856); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1871 term; reelected to the House for the 1872 and 1873 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1874 term; chair, Democratic County Convention (1875); died, March 11, 1883 in Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
