(1857-1860); clerk and agent, Reading Railway Company, Lititz station (1861-1864); proprietor, meat store (1864-1868); proprietor, general store (1869-1874); secretary, Lancaster County Republican Committee; elected, delegate, State Republican Convention; school director, Lititz; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1872 and 1873; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1874); clerk, recorder’s office, Lancaster County (2 years); surveyor, Farmers’ Mutual Fire Insurance Company; council secretary, Lititz; died, July 26, 1906 in Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Moravian Cemetery, Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
