BAIRD, David P., a Representative from Cameron, Elk and Jefferson Counties; born, March 13, 1835 in Hyner, Clinton County, Pa.; attended, Dickinson Seminary (now Lycoming College); traveling agent, fire insurance company; merchant; station agent, Pennsylvania Railroad; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1873 and 1874 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1875 term; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Sinnemahoning, Pa. (1885-1889); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1891); died, October 22, 1914 in Sinnemahoning, Cameron County, Pennsylvania; interred, Wyside Cemetery, Sinnemahoning, Cameron County, Pennsylvania.
