HENRY, Samuel, a Representative from Cambria County; born, 1843; adjutant, Company H, 182nd Regiment, 21st Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry (1863-1864, Civil War); engaged, banking; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1871, 1872, and 1873; unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Treasurer (1873); died, August 19, 1875 in Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
