BROBST, Henry, a Representative from Berks County; born, January 21, 1821 in Berks County, Pa.; proprietor and keeper, Brobst House hotel (1843-1883, 1885-1896); auctioneer; cattle dealer; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1867, 1868, and 1869; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1870); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1873); died, September 4, 1896 in Rehrersburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Altalaha Lutheran Cemetery, Rehrersburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
