(1847-1848); elected, school board, Forward Township; elected, auditor, Butler County (1856); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for 1873 term; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1874 term; director, Butler County National Bank; died, August 13, 1907 in Forward Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania; interred, Evans City Cemetery, Evans City, Butler County, Pennsylvania.
