BOWMAN, Charles O., a Representative from Erie, Potter and Tioga Counties; born, March 6, 1825 in Westfield, Tioga County, Pa.; attended, Genesee Wesleyan Seminary, Lima, NY; attorney-at-law (1852-1887); unsuccessful campaign, District Attorney, Tioga County (1859); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1862; reelected to the House in 1869; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1863, 1870); elected, delegate, Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention (1872-1873); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1880); died, November 19, 1887 in Corry, Erie County, Pennsylvania; interred, Pine Grove Cemetery, Corry, Erie County, Pennsylvania.
