LEACH, Josiah Granville, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, July 27, 1842 in Cape May, Cape May County, NJ; graduated, law department, University of Pennsylvania, 1866; second lieutenant, Company H, 25th Regiment, New Jersey Volunteer Infantry (Civil War); lawyer (1866-1922); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in a Special Election in 1875; Sworn-In on January 4, 1876; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1877 term; commissary-general, Philadelphia; appraiser, Philadelphia County; died, May 27, 1922 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, Cape May, Cape May County, New Jersey.
