YERKES, Joseph Ball, a Representative from Montgomery County, born, July 6, 1839 in Hatboro, Montgomery County, Pa.; teacher (15 years); school director, Moreland Township; engaged, real estate; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1873, 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); farmer; justice of the peace, Hatboro (1895-1908); died, August 20, 1908 in Hatboro, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Hatboro Cemetery, Hatboro, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
