RUTTER, Thomas Geiger, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, June 30, 1828 in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pa.; justice of the peace, Pottstown (50 years); elected, council, Pottstown; postmaster, United States Postal Service (1853-1860); elected, recorder of deeds, Montgomery County (1860-1863); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1873, 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); died, November 19, 1912 in Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Edgewood Cemetery, Pottstown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
