ROGERS, David J., a Representative from Allegheny County; born, December of 1825 in Washington County, Pa.; graduated, Jefferson College (now Washington and Jefferson College), 1850; contractor; railroad conductor, Pennsylvania Railroad; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); died, October 1, 1906 in Atlantic City, Atlantic County, New Jersey; interred, Chartiers Cemetery, Carnegie, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
