ROBERTS, Giles, a Representative from Wyoming County; born, May 28, 1836 in Falls, Wyoming County, Pa.; farmer; unsuccessful campaign, treasurer, Wyoming County (1870); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1876); elected, chair, Wyoming County Republican Convention (1878); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1880); elected, commissioner, Lackawanna County (1894-1900); died, March 10, 1915 in Dalton, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Roberts Cemetery, Falls, Wyoming County, Pennsylvania.
