RAWLINS, Isaiah H., a Representative from Blair County; born, May 8, 1838; school teacher; sergeant major, Company E, 76th Regiment, "Keystone Zouaves," Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1864, Civil War); clerk, Quartermaster’s Department, Washington, DC, United States Army (1865, Civil War); lieutenant colonel and division inspector, 16th Division, Pennsylvania National Guard (1874); lawyer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican to serve the 1875 and 1876 terms; died while in office, February 26, 1876 in Hollidaysburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania; interred, Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
