PLUMMER, Warren Crosby, a Representative from Crawford County; born, 1834 in Damariscotta Mills, Lincoln County, Me.; lieutenant, Company D, 15th Regiment, Maine Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); engaged, printing; editor, various newspapers in Maine, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and South Dakota; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1875 and 1876 terms; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House for the 1877 term; unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1878); presidential appointee, receiver, land office, Minot, ND (1891-1894); died, February 16, 1910 in Chelsea, Kennebec County, Maine; interred, Togus National Cemetery, Chelsea, Kennebec County, Maine.
