MYERS, Emanuel, a Representative from York County; born, March 16, 1835 in Adams County, Pa.; sergeant major, Company I, 165th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); second lieutenant, Company D, 11th Regiment, Maryland Volunteer Infantry (1864, Civil War); Company A, 11th Regiment, Maryland Volunteer Infantry (1864-1865, Civil War); farmer; justice of the peace, York County; minister; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat for the 1875 and 1876 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1877 term; died, June 13, 1916 in Dillsburg, York County, Pennsylvania; interred, Dillsburg Cemetery, Dillsburg, York County, Pennsylvania.
