MUMPER, George William, a Representative from Cumberland County; born, January 5, 1828 in Dillsburg, York County, Pa.; school board member and school director, Lower Allen Township (over 25 years); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat for the 1875 and 1876 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); died, October 22, 1917 in New Cumberland, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Silver Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Mechanicsburg, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
