MUMFORD, Warren W., a Representative from Wayne County; born, December 5, 1840 in Starrucca, Wayne County, Pa.; attended, Millersville State Normal School (now Millersville University of Pennsylvania); engaged, mercantile business; elected as a Republican to the House in 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); proprietor, Starrucca Chemical Company; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Starrucca, Pa. (1889-1896, 1897-1901); first vice-president, Northeastern Pennsylvania Telephone Company; appointed, chief burgess, Starrucca borough (1911); died, December 6, 1918 in Starrucca, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Starrucca Cemetery, Starrucca, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
