LEWIS, Thomas Hart Benton, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, February 22, 1835 in Luzerne County, Pa.; graduated, University at Lewisburg (now Bucknell University), 1858; attorney-at-law; auditor; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); elected, secretary, school board, Kingston; died, October 5, 1921 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Forty Fort Cemetery, Forty Fort, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
