HARVEY, James A., a Representative from Carbon County; born, circa 1812; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Buck Mountain, Pa. (1868-1874); engaged, real estate business; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1874 and 1875; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1876); died, October 29, 1877 in Buck Mountain, Carbon County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Weatherly, Carbon County, Pennsylvania.
