GORMAN, Dr. Charles Rollin, a Representative from Luzerne County; born, August 4, 1817 in Barkhamsted, Litchfield County, Ct.; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1848; physician; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Pittston, Pa. (1853-1861); elected, burgess, Pittston (1857-1858); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1874 and 1875; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1876); died, April 3, 1879 in Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Pittston Cemetery, Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.
