CHRISMAN, Robert Ralston, a Representative from Dauphin County; born, April 3, 1820 in Chester County, Pa.; engaged, iron industry; manger, National Rolling Mills; superintendent, Charles L. Bailey & Co.; employed, Central Iron Works; unsuccessful campaign for election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1871); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican for the 1875 and 1876 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1877 term; engaged, banking and insurance; died, July 17, 1891 in Holton, Jackson County, Kansas; interred, East Harrisburg Cemetery, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
