BUCK, John, a Representative from Cambria County; born, December 11, 1823 in Carroll Township, Cambria County, Pa.; grist mill proprietor and operator; elected, sheriff, Cambria County (1862-1865); proprietor, mercantile store; postmaster, United States Postal Service, Carrolltown (1870-1877); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1875 and 1876 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1877 term; farmer; died, January 28, 1910 in Carrolltown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Benedict’s Catholic Cemetery, Carrolltown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania.
