WEAVER, James F., a Representative from Centre County; born, November 6, 1830 near Bellefonte, Centre County, Pa.; major, Company B, 148th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1865, Civil War); proprietor and editor, Centre Democrat (1852-1855); engaged in mercantile business; farmer; elected, treasurer, Centre County (1871-1872); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat to serve the 1877 and 1878 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House to serve the 1879 term; appointed, Commission to Oversee the Erection of the State Industrial Reformatory at Huntingdon (1885); died, August 13, 1904 in Milesburg, Centre County, Pennsylvania; interred, Union Cemetery, Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
