TATE, Aaron Chandler, a Representative from Clearfield County; born, October 26, 1827 in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County, Pa.; farmer; elected, auditor, Lawrence Township; elected, school director, Clearfield borough; elected, auditor, Clearfield County (1856-1859); elected, prothonotary, Clearfield County (1868-1875); deputy prothonotary, Clearfield County (1875-1876); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1877 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; died, December 28, 1880 in Curwensville, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania.
