SHEIBLEY, David Harmon, a Representative from Perry County; born in Landisburg, Perry County, Pa., July 14, 1835; attended, New Bloomfield and Landisburg Academies; farmer; school director, Landisburg (23 years); elected, tax assessor, Landisburg (3 terms); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1877 and 1878 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; president, Bank of Landisburg; treasurer and president, Farmers’ and Mechanics’ Mutual Fire Insurance Company of Perry County (1895-1913); died, September 1, 1913 in Landisburg, Perry County, Pennsylvania;  interred Saint Peters United Church of Christ Churchyard, Bridgeport, Perry County, Pennsylvania .
