MEYERS, Emmanuel J., a Representative from Somerset County; born, September 6, 1835 in Somerset County, Pa.; farmer; engaged, merchandizing business; school director, Berlin, Somerset County (1860-1863); elected, council, Berlin (1870-1875); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1877 and 1878 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; died, February 13, 1885; interred, Green Tree Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Oaks, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
