LINDSEY, Wilton Monroe, a Representative from Warren County; born, June 8, 1841 in Pine Grove Township, Warren County, Pa.; attended, Randolph Academy, NY; attended, Northwest State Normal School (now Pennsylavnia Western University, Edinboro); corporal, Company F, 145th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); teacher; superintendent, public schools, Warren County (1865-1871); attorney-at-law (1872-1898); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1877 and 1878 terms; appointed, chair, Committee to Investigate the Railroad Riots (1877); not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; elected, president judge, 37th judicial district, Warren County (1898-1909); president, Warren Trust Company; director, Warren Savings Bank; died, May 5, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland; interred, Oakland Cemetery, Warren, Warren County, Pennsylvania.
