LARRABEE, Don Carlos, a Representative from Potter County; born, March 5, 1830 in Almond, Allegany County, NY; general store clerk; farmer; brakeman, conductor and dispatcher, Erie Railroad; partner, Larrabee & Lewis, mercantile store; elected, justice of the peace, Potter County (1859-1862); elected, sheriff, Potter County (1862-1865); lawyer (1866-1889); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1876; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); unsuccessful campaign, Pennsylvania State Senate (1888); died, March 14, 1889 in Coudersport, Potter County, Pennsylvania; interred, Eulalia Cemetery, Coudersport, Potter County, Pennsylvania.
