KNIPE, Dr. Francis Marion, a Representative from Montgomery County; born, November 17, 1834 in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pa.; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1856; physician; elected, school director, Frederick Township, Montgomery County; elected, auditor, Frederick Township; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1874, 1875, 1876 and 1877; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); died, August 4, 1894 in New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania; interred, Falkner Swamp Cemetery, New Hanover, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
