K., a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, March 10, 1836 in Bouquet, Westmoreland County, Pa.; attended, Glade Run Academy; graduated, Jefferson College (now Washington & Jefferson College), 1860; M.D., Long Island College Hospital, 1864; assistant surgeon, United States Army (1864-1865, Civil War); physician; elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1877 and 1878 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; co-owner and co-editor, Westmoreland Democrat; engaged, coal business; appointed, State Medical Examining Board (1894); died, October 4, 1918 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania; interred, Saint Clair Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
