HOWE, Almeron R., a Representative from Wayne County; born, February 6, 1844 in Wayne County, Pa.; musician, Company D, 179th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1862-1863, Civil War); professional musician; musical instrument merchant; elected, register and recorder, Wayne County (1870-1872); unsuccessful campaign for election to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives (1874); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1876; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); died, March 3, 1882 in Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
