HINES, Dr. Eben P., a Representative from Susquehanna County; born, November 4, 1838 in Auburn, Susquehanna County, Pa.; attended, Harford University (now defunct); graduated, medical department, University of Michigan, 1865; M.D., Jefferson Medical College (now Sidney Kimmel Medical College), 1874; teacher; physician; surgeon; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1876 and 1877; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); died, January 26, 1914 in Susquehanna Depot, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania; interred, Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania.
