HILL, Alfred Horatio, a Representative from Lycoming County; born, August 14, 1836 in Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County, Pa.; attended, Pennsylvania College (now the Pennsylvania State University); teacher; conductor, Muncy Creek Railroad; unsuccessful campaign, prothonotary, Lycoming County (1871); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1876 and 1877; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); conductor, Williamsport and North Branch Company railroad (1879-1882); superintendent, macadam, Standard Oil Company (1883-1884); salesman, Burrows Brothers Limited, furniture makers; died, January 5, 1923 in Hughesville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania; interred, Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
