GILLETT, John F., a Representative from Bradford County; born, March 25, 1817 in Masonville, Delaware County, NY; farmer; engaged, lumbering business; postmaster, United States Postal Service, South Creek, Pa.(1861-1865); elected, justice of the peace (1865-1876); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 1876 and 1877; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); died, June 7, 1895 in Gillett, Bradford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Lower Gillett Cemetery, Gillett, Bradford County, Pennsylvania.
