FINDLEY, Samuel Hays, a Representative from Crawford County; born, February 4, 1821, in East Fallowfield Township, Crawford County, Pa.; farmer; proprietor, cheese factory; justice of the peace, Crawford County (1849-1859); assistant marshall (1870); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1875, 1876, 1877 and 1878 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; died, September of 1900 in Crawford County, Pennsylvania; interred, Rock Glen Cemetery, Adamsville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
