FINDLEY, Samuel Hays, a Representative from Crawford County; born, February 4, 1821, in Crawford County, Pa.; farmer; proprietor, cheese factory; justice of the peace, Crawford County (1849-1859); assistant marshal (1870); elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1875, 1876, 1877 and 1878 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1879 term; died, March 22, 1900 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio; interred, Rocky Glen Cemetery, Adamsville, Crawford County, Pennsylvania.
