CARVER, James W., a Representative from Bucks County; born, October 3, 1836 in Nockamixon Township, Bucks County, Pa.; teacher; farmer; justice of the peace (1869-1874, 1876-1880); school director; hotel proprietor; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1874, 1875, 1876 and 1877; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); salesman, Deering Harvesting Company, farm machines; died, August 16, 1922 in Frenchtown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey; interred, Frenchtown Cemetery, Frenchtown, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
