ANDRE, Nicholas, a Representative from Berks County; born, December 29, 1823 in Oberolm, Rhine Hessen, Germany; teacher; surveyor; scrivener; organist and music teacher; justice of the peace (25 years); elected, secretary, school board, Colebrookdale; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1874, 1875, 1876 and 1877; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1878); died, January 16, 1894 in Bally, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Most Blessed Sacrament Church Cemetery, Bally, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
