WORTHINGTON, William B., a Representative from Bucks County; born, January 22, 1837 in Buckingham Township, Bucks County, Pa.; attended, Doylestown Seminary; private, Company B, 104th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1864, Civil War); first lieutenant, Company E, 196th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1864, Civil War); farmer; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1878; unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1880, 1882, 1902); died, August 13, 1908 in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
