(1855-1857); elected, council, Manheim (1862-1865); elected, school director, Manheim (1867-1873); elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1876, 1877 and 1878; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1880); died, February 26, 1894 in Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania; interred, Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
