(1885-1887); unsuccessful campaign for reelection to the House (1896); unsuccessful campaign, United States Congress (1898); director, Wayne County Fair Association; died, April 2, 1904 in Bethany, Wayne County, Pennsylvania; interred, Glen Dyberry Cemetery, Honesdale, Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
