FULTON, Alexander Hamilton, a Representative from Indiana County; born, January 8, 1840 in West Lebanon, Indiana County, Pa.; private, Company D, 2nd Battalion, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1863-1864, Civil War); teacher; farmer; proprietor, general store; dry goods merchant; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1877, 1878 and 1879 terms; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1880); postmaster, United States Postal Service, West Lebanon, Pa. (1889); died, June 4, 1891 in West Lebanon, Indiana County, Pennsylvania; interred, Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.
