CLARKE, Daniel Charles, a Representative from Philadelphia County; born in Annville, Lebanon County, Pa., February 2, 1835; attended, Annville Academy (now Lebanon Valley College); bookkeeper, Cornwall Iron Works (2 years); proprietor, D.C. Clarke & Company, general merchants; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1879 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1880); broker; assistant appraiser, Philadelphia; secretary, Lewis Motor Vehicle Co.; died, June 24, 1911 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
