BOONE, Jeremiah, a Representative from Berks County; born, December 1, 1835 in Exeter Township, Berks County, Pa.; private, Company D, 3rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry (1861-1864, Civil War); dealer, iron and machinery; elected, council, Reading; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representative as a Republican in 1876, 1877 and 1878; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1880); proprietor, iron mill, Norristown; coal yard manager, Reading Railroad Company; sales, Bertolet & Hunter, coal wholesale firm; died, October 9, 1901 in Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania; interred, Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
