RUDDIMAN, William H., a Representative from Philadelphia County; born, September 1, 1831 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pa.; attended, law, University of Pennsylvania; lawyer; elected as a Republican to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1865 and 1866 terms; appointed, District Attorney, Philadelphia County (1868); elected, city council and common council, Philadelphia; reelected to the House for the 1881 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1882); unsuccessful campaign, common council, Philadelphia (1885); died, May 18, 1888 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania; interred, Mount Moriah Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
