REYNOLDS, John Andrew, a Representative from Chester County; born, August 15, 1820 in Colerain Township, Lancaster County, Pa.; attended, West Nottingham Academy, Cecil County, Md.; first lieutenant, Maryland Militia (1848, Mexican-American War); engaged in merchandizing business; school director, Sadsbury Township (9 years); school director, Atglen; justice of the peace; deputy, United States Marshal (1870); fire insurance agent; elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives as a Republican in 1878 and 1880; not a candidate for reelection to the House (1882); grocer; died, April 26,1889 in Atglen, Chester County, Pennsylvania; interred, Penningtonville Cemetery, Atglen, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
