LUCYK, Edward J., a Representative from Columbia and Schuylkill Counties; born in Mahanoy City, Schuylkill County, Pa., July 29, 1942; graduated, Mahanoy Area High School, 1960; B.S., United States Military Academy, 1964; M.B.A., George Washington University, 1968; captain, United States Army (1964-1972; Bronze Star with two oakleaf clusters recipient); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1981 term and served 10 more consecutive terms; appointed, Special Bipartisan Committee to Study the Impact on Pennsylvania Consumers of the Divestiture of AT&T (1984); appointed, board, State Employees’ Retirement System (1995-2000); not a candidate for reelection to the House (2002); political consultant (2002-2024); died, July 7, 2025 in Barnesville, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.
