MARSHALL, James Stanley, a Representative from Westmoreland County; born, March 29, 1833 in Washington Township, Westmoreland County, Pa.; attended, Western Reserve College (now Case Western Reserve University); graduated, National Academy of Music; farmer; school teacher; medical doctor; engaged, musical composition; vocal music teacher; principal, Leechburg schools (40 years); elected as a Democrat to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives for the 1881 term; not a candidate for reelection to the House for the 1883 term; died, April of 1905 in Washington Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
